the blossoming thought project.
i ran into the blossoming thought project’s tumblr page last week and have checked it at least once a day since for good vibes and inspiration. the point of the project is to spread positive/inspiring/blossoming thoughts, often when people are not expecting them. signs are left in random places — on a subway car, in a bathroom stall, or in a library book, for instance. here are a few from the site:
this is such a simple and feel good thing to do and/or receive — it makes me wonder why we don’t see things like this more often. as the website says, “one single thought can change your day, your week, your life. one ‘sign’ and you can be out of there. just stop and take a second to look.”
i felt super inspired by the blossoming thought project, so i made some signs and brought them along to mountain jam with me this past weekend. i hung them up around the festival, got a few pictures before people started pulling off the thoughts, and sent the images into the site. i was beyond excited to wake up this morning and see that they’d been posted on the tumblr page!
i love stuff like this! easy, fun, creative, AND you could make someone’s day! i’m going to try to keep the positive thoughts coming, maybe make a few signs, keep them in my bag, and put them up here and there.
